Hydrolic lime pointed wall
Thorngrove House, Aberdeen

The wall was repointed with sand-cement mortar. The work included fixing minor structural damage to the wall, as the result of erosion of original lime mortar, penetration of plant roots etc. Coping stones were resealed and some part of wall edge was rebuilt.

Repaired wall section is up to 2.5 meters high and more than 20 meters long.

The wall is visible from Thorngrove Avenue:

Driving from the centre by Great Western Rd, cross Anderson drive, and turn right to Thorngrove Ave, then left.
